Marilyn Olson
Executive Director
Marilyn is an Oklahoma farm girl holding a degree in Education from Southern Nazarene University. After eight years in the classroom, for the past 35 years, she’s been a positive voice for aging issues from within hospitals, retirement communities, nursing homes, and as a resource for caregiving families.
She served as caregiver and support to two different aunts until their deaths, then to her almost 104-year-old mother. She took her mother-in-law striper fishing for her 102nd birthday.
Marilyn loves the sound of newly minted words like “qualongevity” and writes a weekly WiseElder column. She dreams of writing a book but in the meantime enjoys making every day count with her husband, Jim, three grown daughters, and involvement in the lives of ten above-average grandchildren.
